The eighth annual Deans’ Forum on Hispanic Higher Education, hosted by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 08 at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Deans’ Forum is a post-conference event of HACU’s 33rd Annual Conference, scheduled to take place on Oct. 5-7 at the Hilton Chicago. Cosponsored by the American Federation of Teachers, the focus of the Forum will be on equity in higher education and its impact on economic and social mobility outcomes.
HACU has announced that the half-day event will begin with a keynote presentation by Lorelle Espinosa (photo), who is vice president for research at the American Council on Education. Presenters will discuss how institutions are working to increase equity and drive economic and social mobility for Hispanic students. Laura Moore, the deputy policy director of Opportunity Insights, a research group at Harvard University, will facilitate the panel discussion.

Michael Preston, Ph.D., Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities
The forum will close with a presentation by the president of Stella and Charles Guttman Community College of the City University of New York.
