The NSHSS Foundation offers STEM scholarships aimed at underrepresented groups to help reduce financial barriers for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to major in or pursue an engineering degree in various disciplines, including aeronautical, astronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, materials science, mechanical, nuclear, and ocean engineering.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of recommendation along with a personal statement of 500 to 800 words that addresses the following prompt: “Why STEM? How have you demonstrated a dedicated passion for the STEM field throughout your high school career?”
