The Heinz College, named the #1 program for Analytics Education, will provide emerging Latinx leaders with the financial support they need to pursue masters degrees in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and public policy. Partnering with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), qualified alumni will receive scholarships that cover 30% of tuition per semester when enrolling in Heinz College’s programs in analytics, technology, and policy skills.

The Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy is home to two graduate-level institutions at Carnegie Mellon University: the School of Information Systems and Management and the School of Public Policy and Management. Its expertise in analytics also set Heinz College apart in the areas of cybersecurity, health care, the future of work, smart cities, and arts & entertainment.

“Students who are drawn toward leadership programs like CHCI have the passion and drive to succeed at CMU,” said Gladys Perez-Sriprasert, director of public policy and management programs at Heinz College. “It’s a priority for us to ensure that talented students have access to our master’s degree programs, and that includes removing financial barriers.”

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) directly impacts the lives of more than 1,700 students and young professionals each year through its fellowships, congressional internships, and R2L NextGen program.

“We are proud to partner with Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy to provide the leaders of tomorrow with the education and skills they need to thrive in a world where policy and technology are inextricably intertwined,” said Domenika Lynch, president, and CEO of CHCI.
