The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) has awarded half a billion dollars in scholarships to thousands of Hispanic scholars since 1975.
According to the HSF website, every year, HSF selects 10,000 students as HSF Scholars from a pool of talented applicants.
In addition to scholarships, which range from $500-$5,000, selected scholars gain access to mentorship, leadership development, and training.
There are also internship and job opportunities with HSF corporate partners, such as The Walt Disney Company, Bank of America, Capital One, Coca-Cola, Conagra, AEG, Aldi, Delta, Edison, Toyota, FedEx, Ford, Goldman Sachs, Honda, Micro, Morgan Stanley, and Marathon.
HSF Scholars also host several events during the year, such as the Finance Conference, Media & Entertainment Summit, Entrepreneurship Summit, Healthcare Summit, and the STEM Summit.
This year, the HSF STEM Summit was held in Los Angeles from September 12 through September 15.
A select group of rising junior and senior students were chosen as delegates from the pool of current HSF STEM Scholars to attend the event.
Attendees had the opportunity to interact with leading Hispanic STEM professionals and gain insights on how to achieve excellence, both academically and professionally.
The summit gives HSF STEM Scholars an inside track to career success through a combination of mentoring, professional insights, and career guidance.
