Apply for this 2022-2023 HACU Scholarship by July 1st

Café Bustelo has announced twenty-five $5,000 scholarships for college students enrolled at more than 500 member institutions of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). Since 2014, $550,000 in college funds have been awarded to 110 Latino students nationwide.

Café Bustelo also announced the 2021 scholarship recipients. The students are in a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, including biology, computer science, engineering, finance, mathematics, public health, medicine, accounting, social work, physical therapy, mental health, nursing, public administration, ecological/environmental science, and education.

This year, applicants are required to share how their heritage, family, and community have impacted their desire to obtain a college degree; how they plan to give back; and what they intend to accomplish with their degree in an 800-word essay in English or Spanish. The application period closes on July 1.

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students of Latino descent are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be 18 years or older and attended a HACU member institution in the United States or Puerto Rico. Click here to learn about the online application and guidelines.

Other scholarship opportunities managed by HACU include offers from Alliance/Merck Ciencia (Science) The RentHop Scholarship, Sharemoney, Simform STEM Scholarship Program, Miller Lite Brewed to Be Bright Scholarships, Miller Lite – Texas, the MGM Resorts International Scholarship, the United Talent Agency Entertainment Scholarship, Kia America–HACU STEAM Scholarship, and First Generation Scholarships from Coca-Cola.
