The HITEC Foundation has established a scholarship program to help graduating high school students and college students obtain a college degree in technology. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2019. The award amount is $5,000 per scholarship recipient. Acceptable technology majors are but not limited to:
The HITEC Foundation notes that some colleges and universities have different names for technology-related degrees. So if you don’t see a degree listed, please send an email to the HITEC Foundation with the name of the degree and college. They will let you know if it is an acceptable major.
Recipients are required to complete an application, submit autobiography, resume, official transcripts, one letter of recommendation, thank you letter, budget and receipts of how the scholarship funds were utilized, and other documents may be required. The scholarship recipients may be asked to communicate with sponsors and attend events.
