Are you curious about the next big thing in science and engineering? Then apply by March 15 to the new Master of Quantum Science and Technology (MQST) degree program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The program is designed to prepare students for careers in quantum information science (QIS) which includes fields such as physics, materials science, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, and mathematics.
In 2020, UCLA was part of a team awarded $25 million by the National Science Foundation to establish the NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Present and Future Quantum Computation. The new MQST program extends UCLA’s commitment to quantum science research and education, including the university’s Center for Quantum Science and Engineering.
The program consists of hands-on laboratory skills development and a capstone internship. Students will strengthen their knowledge of the foundations of quantum mechanics, quantum computing, quantum information, and quantum devices.
The MQST program within the Department of Physics & Astronomy at UCLA is designed to prepare students for careers in research and the development of quantum technologies. Click here to learn more.
