SACNAS has announced a community-based learning event for individuals interested in careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), scheduled for April 22-24. This event will provide an opportunity to meet new mentors and potential employers.

Please note that applications to participate in the SACNAS Career Convention closed on March 14.

However, be sure to save the date for this immersive learning experience designed for SACNAS members exploring STEM careers.

This week, SHPE hosted an evening with Dr. Esther Zeledón, the author of “Creating Your Limitless Life.” During the event, she focused on the theme, Navigating MentorSHPE Connections: Setting and Achieving Goals.

Various speakers shared valuable tips and tools to help both mentees and mentors navigate the goal-setting process effectively.

MentorSHPE is a flagship program of this 50-year-old educational and professional organization dedicated to supporting individuals pursuing careers in STEM fields.

Additionally, budding scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians are invited to participate in the AISES Scholarship Walk-Through Webinar scheduled for March 26.

This event will provide detailed, step-by-step guidance on the scholarship application process.

AISES has described it as a must-attend session for students looking to navigate this process effectively. Hosted by the Student Success Program, AISES will guide students through the application requirements, share strategies to enhance their submissions, and answer common questions.

It’s not too late to apply for travel scholarships to present your research at NDiSTEM 2025. This annual STEM conference, hosted by SACNAS, opens doors to new connections and career-changing opportunities.

Each year, students present their research and connect with mentors and peers they may not have met otherwise. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this incredible community. The deadline to apply is March 28.
