The University of Houston (UH) has announced that a total of 5,976 degrees will be conferred to the UH Class of 2021. “After thoughtful deliberation and input from health experts, we look forward to once again seeing our graduates experience one of life’s biggest moments – walking across the stage at commencement,” said Paula Myrick Short, UH senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, in a statement. “Despite the immense challenges of the past year, they all showed incredible perseverance and we will celebrate their achievement in a safe, responsible manner.”
UH planned for a majority of the ceremonies to be held at TDECU Stadium, with ceremonies celebrating smaller colleges to take place inside Cullen Performance Hall. Click here to watch the ceremony at the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering.
As of May 10, the Class of 2021 by numbers included 4,530 bachelor’s degrees, 872 master’s degrees, 168 doctoral degrees, and 406 professional degrees. Check out the graduation photos on the official University of Houston Facebook page.
