The Summit aimed to prepare students from 51 colleges and universities for internships and career opportunities in various fields, including STEM, finance, accounting, business, communications, and marketing.

The online event brought together professionals and corporate representatives who facilitated career preparation workshops and panels. Notable corporate partners such as Fidelity Investments, Nordstrom, Dominion Energy, and Thermo Fisher Scientific participated. The next Emerging Leaders’ Summit will be held virtually on September 8, 2023, in partnership with The University of Arizona.

The President and CEO of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, Antonio R. Flores, recently visited universities in Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia, and Castile from June 5-9.

This visit was made possible through a partnership with the Internationalization of Spanish Higher Education and the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade.

During the visit, HACU staff members met with faculty members from various universities to discuss potential collaborations in studying Spanish, dual degrees, and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents over 500 colleges and universities across the United States, Latin America, Spain, and U.S. school districts. The Association, with headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, and regional offices in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, California, is the only national association representing Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
