Since 2014, the partnership has awarded $680,000 in scholarship funds to more than 100 Hispanic students nationwide. To enter, students must complete the online application located on the HACU website and write an essay in English or Spanish, in 800 words or less, responding to the following topic:

Describe how your Latino heritage, family, and the community you grew up in have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.

The scholarship opportunity is available to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors enrolled full-time at a four-year HACU-member institution, 18 years old or older, of Hispanic/Latino descent, and U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents.

With support from the Deloitte Foundation, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is awarding scholarships to eligible undergraduate students at HACU-member institutions. 68 Deloitte Foundation Scholars will be awarded $2,500 per student per semester, renewable for up to 4 semesters ($10,000 total).

The scholarships are available to undergraduate students majoring in accounting, business, business administration, computer science, computer systems, cybersecurity, data analytics/business analytics, economics, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, finance, information systems, management information systems, marketing, mathematics, operations, supply chain and logistics, statistics, and technology.

HACI is also partnering with Walmart to award scholarships to eligible undergraduate and graduate students at HACU-member institutions. A total of 10 ($5,000) Walmart scholarships will be awarded.
