The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium has launched the 2023 HSC Scholars Program. According to HSC, the program is open to graduating seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students.
All recipients must be of Hispanic/Latino heritage, plan to enroll full-time in a certificate or associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral degree program, hold a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and reside in Texas.
HSC Scholars Program features renewable college scholarships, multi-day leadership training experience led by a team of professionals, mentoring by caring adults in similar career paths and access to professional networks, membership in a network of HSC Scholars and Alumni, and regular communication and guidance by trained professionals and specific assistance for first-generation college students.
“For many first-generation Hispanic students, college application is just half the battle,” wrote an HSC alum. “Finding ways to fund a college education and then beginning a journey that your family cannot relate to can prove even more daunting. However, when I thought I was alone to begin my college career, HSC was there to provide the network of support that I needed to become a successful student at Stanford University.”
The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium (HSC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the enrollment of Central Texas Hispanic students in higher education by providing scholastic services and opportunities. Click here to apply.
