Apple unveils Apple Vision Pro, a spatial computer that combines digital content with the real world. It has a three-dimensional user interface that responds to natural inputs and an ultra-high-resolution display system.
The release includes updates to communication apps, easier sharing, and new experiences with Journal and StandBy. iOS 17 also upgrades communication and introduces new experiences.
Apple has introduced its latest line of MacBooks, including the 15-inch MacBook Air, which is considered the world’s best 15-inch laptop.
This laptop has a large 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an impressive M2 performance, up to 18 hours of battery life, and a fanless design.
It also includes a six-speaker sound system, Spatial Audio, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe charging, and macOS Ventura. Customers can now order it, and it will be available starting June 13th.
Additionally, the 13-inch MacBook Air now has a new starting price of $1,099, which is $100 less than before.
Apple has also launched the new Mac Studio and Pro, the most powerful Macs ever built. The Mac Studio features M2 Max and the new M2 Ultra, providing enhanced connectivity and a massive performance boost in a compact design.
Meanwhile, the Mac Pro has up to 192GB of unified memory, making it capable of handling demanding workloads that other systems can’t process. Both the Mac Studio and Mac Pro are available for ordering today, with availability starting on June 13th.
Apple has also introduced the M2 Ultra, a powerful system on a chip designed to provide significant performance enhancements to the Mac. With 134 billion transistors, the M2 Ultra has double the performance of its predecessor, the M1 Ultra.
Additionally, the new chip has a unified memory architecture capable of supporting up to 192GB of memory capacity and boasts a media engine with double the capabilities of the M2 Max.
Lastly, Apple has announced the upcoming release of iPadOS 17, which includes new ways for users to personalize the Lock Screen, work with PDFs, and collaborate on Notes. The Messages app has been updated with a new stickers experience, and FaceTime now allows users to leave video and audio messages.
The Health app has also been introduced to the iPad, and HealthKit has been optimized for the tablet’s display. The developer beta version of iPadOS 17 is available today, with a free software update expected to launch this fall.
