The League of United Latin American Citizens held its 89th Annual LULAC National Convention & Exposition in Phoenix, AZ from July 17 through July 21, 2018.

The premier Hispanic convention draws over 15,000 participants from across the country each year, including top leaders from the government, business, and the Latino community.

On Friday, July 20, the Hispanic organization’s educational arm, the LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc., held a fundraising breakfast to celebrate LNESC’s work in changing the lives of 14,000 students each year.

Since 1973, LNESC has contributed to the academic success of 500,000 Hispanic and disadvantaged students and has provided more than $20 million to nearly 26,000 students.

The LNESC Breakfast is the only meal event during the LULAC National Convention dedicated to K-12 education. Proceeds benefit the LULAC National Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support for students that are pursuing a degree.
