The Aspen Institute’s Latinos and Society Program will host the 2018 America’s Future Summit: Unlocking Potential, Advancing Prosperity on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Malcolm X College in Chicago.
“Latino issues are America’s issues. That’s why we are creating conversations between a diverse group of people to contribute solutions to problems that will affect us all,” said Abigail Golden-Vázquez, executive director of the Latinos and Society Program.
“America’s Future Summit brings together leaders from across sectors to work on increasing Latino economic mobility as a way to increase prosperity for all Americans.”
Conversations will demonstrate the importance of a collective response to ensure Latinos and all Americans have an opportunity to reach their full potential.

Discussion panels will include Laysha Ward, Target executive vice president and chief external engagement officer, Juan Salgado, chancellor of City Colleges of Chicago, Arne Duncan, former Secretary of Education and managing partner of the Emerson Collective.
Each panel discussion will be available for live streaming throughout the day. Opening and welcoming remarks will begin at 9:00 a.m. CST.
