Back-to-school week welcomes students!

This weekend, Arizona State University will host a game watch party for the ASU versus Northern Arizona football game. UTEP Football is also excited to be back for the football season.The fall 2025 semester at the University of Texas at El Paso began on Monday, August 25, and featured a series of fun-filled events for students.

According to the press release, one of the highlights this year was the 5th Annual Texas Western Gold Rush, which included a concert, giveaways, fireworks, and guest appearances. Following this event was the Engage & Thrive Fair, where various health student organizations and institutional partners informed students about how to get involved on campus.

Minerpalooza is scheduled for September 5, and it will feature games and activities hosted by student organizations, along with a live music lineup that includes contestants from the Battle of the Bands and various other artists, as well as food trucks and vendors.

Additionally, the University of Texas at Arlington will celebrate its 130th birthday with a party on Friday, September 5.

The Engineering Bash, an annual welcome event for engineering students, faculty, and staff, will take place on September 3. This event provides free food, fun games, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with student organizations, helping to kick off the new school year.

Campuses are posting guides for back-to-school week, highlighting various activities, including football games that set the tone for the fall.

Recreation centers provide fun activities, food, and games.

At San Diego State University, there will be an ’80s/’90s Throwback Party and a costume contest, a classic campus event. Nostalgic movie nights with snacks will create a relaxed social atmosphere, accompanied by live performances.

New Mexico State University has announced its partnership with community organizations to support a food pantry, which has distributed 10,000 bags of food since its launch in 2023.
