This week, Internapalooza, advertised as the ultimate tech intern event, took place on August 4 in San Francisco. According to the website, more than 20,000 interns have participated over the years. During the event, interns learned how to maximize their internships, build a professional network, and received free copies of an AI agent-building manual.

Over on the East Coast, the Maryland Department of Public Health is seeking current and recent college students to join its Public Health Internship Program.

Opportunities are available for remote, in-person, and hybrid positions for both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates.

Applications are due by August 15, 2025, for the program scheduled to run from September 24 to December 16, 2025. Compensation for undergraduate interns starts at $17 per hour, while the rate for graduate interns is $20 per hour.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside dedicated public health professionals.

Additionally, the Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills is offering fall internship opportunities. If you know students interested in early childhood education, environmental science, event planning, or graphic design, encourage them to apply!

The Irvine Nature Center is looking for interns in the following areas: Environmental Education (Eco-Explorers Afterschool Program), Teaching Assistant (The Nature Preschool), Outdoor Education (Homeschool Programs), Outdoor Education (Middle School Enrichment Series), Design and Production, and Event Planning.

Interns will benefit from mentorship, hands-on experience, and valuable memories for their future careers. Please note that all internships are unpaid, but can be eligible for academic credit if approved by the educational institution. Applications for these internships are due on Friday, August 15!
