The HACU National Internship Program began in 1992 with just 24 students and one federal agency.
Today, it places over 400 students in internships across the nation each year. For the summer 2024 session, HACU welcomed 170 college students, including a hybrid orientation held on August 30, 2024, which provided valuable information about federal agencies and Hispanic-serving institutions.
HACU opened applications for the spring 2025 internship session, with a deadline of October 18, 2024. The spring session ran from January 6, 2025, to April 18, 2025.
Additionally, on May 30, 2025, HACU welcomed new college students to the summer 2025 session of the HACU National Internship Program.
A webinar orientation was held for interns serving in various federal agencies in Washington, D.C., and field offices nationwide.
