A chief data evangelist highlighted the way humanoid robots learn through reinforcement learning. This means that these AI-powered marvels acquire new skills by interacting with their surroundings and mastering tasks through trial and error.
Social media chatter is buzzing with the potential of combining agentic and physical AI—think robo taxis, drones, and humanoid robots—which could pave the way for a multi-trillion-dollar industry by 2030.
In another initiative, the United Nations kicked off its flagship platform on Artificial Intelligence, AI for Good, in Geneva this Tuesday.
Over the next four days, leaders will engage in inspiring discussions, showcase groundbreaking demonstrations, and emphasize the urgent need for inclusive AI governance.
Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, shared an important observation: a whole generation is growing up in a world intertwined with AI, presenting incredible opportunities for them.
This journey is just beginning, focusing on skill development and the importance of equitable AI standards.
To assist educators in navigating this AI landscape wisely and ethically, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), alongside partners like UFT, Microsoft Corp., OpenAI, and Anthropic, has launched the National Academy for AI Instruction.
This visionary initiative, proposed by Roy Bahat, is designed to be a central hub for AI education, kicking off later this fall.
With an investment of $23 million, the academy aims to benefit around 400,000 educators—about 10% of the U.S. teaching workforce—ultimately impacting over 7.2 million students.
What’s even better? They will provide FREE AI training and curriculum to all 1.8 million AFT members, beginning with K-12 educators.
The academy is set to offer a wealth of resources, including workshops, online courses, and hands-on training, preparing teachers for a future driven by AI innovation.
With a strong emphasis on fostering AI literacy and creative problem-solving, this program empowers educators to lead boldly in a rapidly changing digital world.
The academy’s goal is to train thousands of teachers each year, offering credential pathways and continuing education credits that will not only elevate AI instruction but also broaden opportunities for every student.
The American Federation of Teachers represents 1.8 million members, including pre-K through 12th-grade educators, paraprofessionals, and higher education staff, as well as government employees like nurses.
The United Federation of Teachers, with nearly 200,000 members, serves as the bargaining agent for most nonsupervisory educators in New York City public schools, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and various school professionals.
Microsoft develops AI-powered platforms and tools to provide innovative solutions, aiming to make AI accessible and empower individuals and organizations globally.
OpenAI focuses on ensuring artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. At the same time, Anthropic is dedicated to creating reliable and interpretable AI systems, with its flagship model, Claude, trusted by millions.
Teachers have significantly transformed instructional technology, beginning with word processors for lesson planning and computers for managing student data.

The generation who will never know a world without AI has already been born. And it is with them that the greatest opportunity lies.
An opportunity that starts with skills.
An opportunity for AI governance and for standards that include everyone. #AIforGood pic.twitter.com/YXlkLNKoZk— Doreen Bogdan-Martin (@ITUSecGen) July 8, 2025
