College students who are members of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) are encouraged to submit proposals for groundbreaking ideas in the Indigenous Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bison Bump Business Plan Challenge.

This challenge invites startup concepts that aim to uplift and empower Indigenous communities.

The theme for 2025 is “Innovation for Indigenous Pathways,” which emphasizes innovation that is culturally grounded and provides sustainable, community-driven solutions with the potential for crowdsourcing.

AISES is a non-profit professional association dedicated to increasing the representation of American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nation, and other Indigenous peoples of North America in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), as well as other related disciplines.

AISES is also recruiting for the All of Us Are Scientists: Indigenous Resources & Development Program, a professional development opportunity to bring precision medicine into the classroom.

The program offers an opportunity to explore culturally-relevant training in genetics, bioinformatics, and biochemistry and is designed to support the health and wellness of communities. It’s also a way to connect with fellow educators and gain access to educational resources and curriculum.

AISES is also building the next generation of Native cybersecurity leaders with Firewall. Visit the website to get more information on how to join as a participant or mentor and connect with peers, mentors, and powerful knowledge.
