If you’re looking for an opportunity to jumpstart your career, consider applying for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Summer Pathways Student Trainee Internship.

Submit your application soon, as the program will close once they receive 248 applications. The internship runs from May 4, 2025, to August 3, 2025, right in Washington, D.C.

This paid internship is designed to provide you with invaluable hands-on experience in a federal government career.

As an intern, you’ll engage in impactful projects that align with USAID’s mission in global development and humanitarian efforts.

You’ll benefit from direct involvement in exciting USAID initiatives, gain mentorship from seasoned professionals, expand your network, and work in a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in the world.

Your responsibilities will include conducting research, preparing insightful program reports, helping organize meetings and events, and supporting efforts in USAID’s offices and bureaus.

You’ll even have a chance to shape strategies for sharing USAID’s mission and goals!

The Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program provides students at all levels of higher education with opportunities to work in government. Specifically, the program offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture focuses on Tribal Agriculture and Food. 

This paid internship is available for undergraduate, graduate, and law students, allowing them to gain specialized experience in the Office of Tribal Relations and various mission areas within the Department of Agriculture.

During the summer of 2025, interns will engage in projects that support Indian Country and relate to USDA’s tribal agriculture and food policy programs. 

Focus areas for the internship include food and nutrition, forest services, Indigenous food sovereignty, tribal communities, and economic development.

Interns will receive a stipend of $7,500 for full-time positions and up to $4,500 for housing and travel expenses. 

Additionally, there are many professional development opportunities available.
