The 29th annual Women of Color (WOC) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) DTX Conference will be held on October 3-5 in Detroit, Michigan, and on the WOC STEM digital twin experience (DTX) platform under the theme “Waves of Change: Oceans of Opportunity.” 

The 50th anniversary of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) National Convention will be held in Anaheim, California, from October 30 to November 3. 

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will hold its 38th annual conference on November 1-3, under the theme “Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success” in Aurora, Colorado. 

SACNAS’s National Diversity in STEM Conference (October 31 to November 2) will host college-level professional attendees in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Highlights of the event include STEM research, professional development sessions, motivational keynote speakers, the Graduate School & Career Expo Hall, multicultural celebrations and traditions, and an inclusive and welcoming community of peers, mentors, and role models.

Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) will hold its upcoming event on November 6-9 in Fort Worth, TX, under the theme “Answering the Call.” 

The Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) website reported that more than 80% of resumes collected during its annual convention in Las Vegas were from students, while 15% were from professionals. 

The convention had 5,492 registered attendees, with 72% being professionals and 28% students. 

The event raised $1,740,000 for scholarships, with $900,000 distributed in 2023. 

The convention included 217 sessions, which encompassed workshops, info sessions, virtual student boot camps, corporate receptions, and main-stage events. 

Over 100 companies from 45 industries were represented at the career fair, with 4,123 attendees. 

Earlier in September,  the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NAHLE) conference featured more than 400  multicultural healthcare leaders during the three-day summit. 

The lineup of diverse keynote speakers, thought leaders and industry experts delve into pressing healthcare issues, unveiling new strategies.
