The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program offers students from across the country the opportunity to intern at one of the 17 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories and facilities.
During the internship, students work with leading science experts, gaining exposure to diverse research areas that support the DOE’s missions.
SULI provides a paid internship experience managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists, in collaboration with DOE laboratories/facilities.
Participants can choose from a 10-week summer internship (May-August) or a semester-long experience (August–December or January–May).
SULI welcomes undergraduate students and recent graduates majoring in STEM fields or science policy.
The program is also accepting applications for the Spring 2025 term, offering opportunities to explore science and technology careers at DOE national laboratories.
The application deadline is October 2, 2024.
Full-time students as well as recent graduates are eligible to apply.
Workshops will be held to guide applicants through the application process.
