NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) has announced paid internships for students to contribute to the agency’s mission in advancing science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration.
The internships may be full-time or part-time and could take place at a NASA center or facility, or even remote from your home or dorm.
OSTEM internships provide students the opportunity to gain practical work experience while working alongside mentors who are research scientists, engineers, and professionals from various fields.
The application deadlines for internships are August 23, 2024, for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025.
Early decisions will be revealed on October 25, 2024, with final decisions by February 28, 2025.
Applicants for the OSTEM track must be full-time or part-time college-level students enrolled in at least six semester hours.
For NASA’s Pathways Intern track, applicants must be degree or certificate-seeking students in an accredited educational institution, have completed at least 15 semester or 23 quarter hours, and be able to work at least 640 hours before completing degree/certificate requirements.
International interns must demonstrate an active interest in the U.S. space program, pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM topic relevant to NASA’s mission priorities, and communicate proficiently in English.
