Modesto Junior College held its commencement ceremony on May 3rd. A drone show was organized after the ceremony, which celebrated the graduates and their families as darkness set in.

The commencement ceremony included students who had completed their degrees in the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024.

The largest graduating class in the college’s 102-year history, consisting of over 830 graduates, was awarded their degrees.

The ceremony took place in the Pirates Stadium, East Campus. Following the ceremony, there was a “Commencement After Party” reception in the Student Center.

Modesto Junior College also announced that the registration for the Summer Enlace 2024 program is now open.

The word “Enlace” comes from the Spanish language, meaning to unite, connect, and link.

The Comunidad Summer Enlace is a one-week interactive academy designed to help incoming first-year Modesto Junior College (MJC) Latino students transition into college.

During this week-long academy, students will connect with campus faculty and programs, and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in and out of the classroom.
