On May 10, undergraduates from several engineering departments will walk across the stage.
The departments include Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering.
Additionally, the Division of Student Affairs also announced that the MSC Student Conference on Latinx Affairs will be held on the Texas A&M University campus from April 4-6.
The event is billed as the nation’s largest student-led conference on Latinx affairs.
This year, the conference will feature keynote speakers, including Sandra de Castro Buffington, founder and president of StoryAction LLC; Dr. Jose Luis Zelaya, founder of Dr. Zelaya Educational Consulting LLC; Sonia Nazario, award-winning journalist; and Dr. Carlos Martínez-Cano, assistant professor at the University of Washington in Learning Sciences and Human Development.
The conference will include roundtable discussions, workshops, and a resource fair.
The MSC Student Conference On Latinx Affairs (SCOLA) develops programs for students, which highlight national and international issues impacting the Latinx community.
This year’s MSC Student Conference on Latinx will celebrate the Latinx community’s continued resilience and help develop skills to pursue and accomplish future endeavors.
