The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has teamed up with Café Bustelo to offer twenty-five $5,000 El Café del Futuro Scholarships.
Since 2014, the partnership has awarded $805,000 in scholarship funds to more than 100 Hispanic students nationwide.
To participate, students need to fill out an online application on the HACU website and write an essay of no more than 800 words or less in English or Spanish, answering the following question: How has your Latino heritage, family, and the community influenced your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree?
Additionally, explain what you plan to achieve with your degree and how you intend to give back to your community.
The scholarship opportunity is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students of all majors enrolled at a HACU-member institution and who are 18 years old or older of Hispanic/Latino descent; the application deadline is June 30, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. CT.
