Participants can submit one or several designs, and the top three designers will receive scholarships and cash prizes. The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2024.

At the College of Muscogee Nation, students are celebrating Native American Heritage Month.

The Indigenous Media Club held its biweekly meeting on November 13 to discuss the representation of indigenous people in different forms of media.

The college is also celebrating “Rep your Tribal Nation” week, which encourages students to wear clothing representing their tribal nation.

The celebration of traditional wear continued on Tuesday, with the focus on ribbon shirts and skirts, beadwork, and jewelry.

Wednesday is “Rock Your Mocc” day, and Native Pride Weekend is on Friday. Students can share their pictures on Facebook or app with the hashtag #NAHM.

On November 16, there will be more Native American Heritage Month celebrations at the College of Muscogee Nation.

The event will feature Native speakers and entertainment. Autumn Harjo, the CMN Student President, will speak during the welcome ceremony and special guest recognition.

Former MCN Princess Claudia McHenry will be the keynote speaker. Other event highlights include a live performance by Wotko, a 400 Wave Artists.

In addition, the college has announced the arrival of Raven Esports, which allows students to compete with other teams and colleges in competition-based video games.

The Tribal College provides students with access to top-of-the-line PCs, enabling them to compete with anyone in esports.
