Google reportedly receives thousands of applications daily. Still, the STEP (formerly Engineering Practicum) program is the most sought-after opportunity for first- and second-year undergraduate minority students with a passion for technology.
However, according to Google Internship FAQs, all applications are assessed for all open internship opportunities based on what is available at the time.
Internships are usually 12-14 weeks long. Start and end times vary, and the hiring process varies across all positions and is contingent on availability. Process times can take 8-10 weeks from the initial resume review.
Internships are available in software engineering, User Experience, product management, sales, marketing, finance, mechanical engineering, and hardware engineering. Click here for more information on engineering and technical internships at Google.
The Community College Internships (CCI) Program is now open for applications for the 2023 Fall Term. Applications are due May 25, 2023.
According to the Department of Energy, selected students will participate as interns appointed at one of 16 energy department laboratories. The CCI program is sponsored and managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists in collaboration with the DOE laboratories.
