Lauren Denson is Chi’Nde Apache of the Chihene Nde Nation of New Mexico and Latina. After earning a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and computer science from the University of Southern California, she joined the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a quality engineer.
Two years ago, she was featured on NASA’s social media pages as part of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Native American Heritage Day celebrations. Here are a few excerpts from the interview

“Early in my life I wanted to be an artist and had a love for math, and worked towards Imagineering as the intersection with Math and Art. In that journey, I got advice from an Imagineer to work towards computer science which allowed me to check all the boxes for this kind of career!”
