Save the date for STEM City USA’s Happy Hour this Friday. The event will take place from 5 pm to 6 pm EST and a real-life computer and electrical engineer will be spinning the tunes.
Kendrick Tilghman goes by the stage name Dj 5Starr, with a unique brand of entertainment that combines his disc jockey skills with his love for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education.
An outreach specialist and advocate of opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), Tilghman and his organization empower communities to play active roles in STEM-related curricula and career fields.
Tilghman earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and electrical engineering, and an M.B.A, from Morgan State University. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in engineering research education, also from Morgan State, Maryland’s leading public urban research university

When you get to STEM City USA, click on the flashing white circle in front of the Multicultural Building. Once you’ve zoomed into the Steward Multicultural Center, click on the door icon for entrance to the lobby. Look for the Steward Jazz Club, directly under the big blue banners. Enter the club and connect with friends.
