The American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES) has announced a scholarship in partnership with the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) for the 2021-2022 academic year.
SPEEA is an aerospace labor union representing more than 22,650 engineers, technical workers, pilots, and other aerospace professionals.
According to the announcement, Indigenous students who are are pursuing a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) degree that supports careers in the aerospace industry are encouraged to apply for the AISES-SPEEA scholarship.
Students must be doing an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree in the state of Washington. Awards are $5,000 for the academic year with additional assistance available for students with dependent children.
