Along with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program at the University of Texas at Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering has announced the 2019 program. My Introduction to Engineering (MITE) is a five-day camp for current high school juniors to discover engineering through participation in a team project, hands-on activities and interactions with engineering students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
MITE is open to students with strong interests in engineering, science or math. Fifty students will be selected to attend each session. All students are welcome to apply, and students who have overcome hardship, are strongly encouraged to apply. Student participants are housed in a campus dorm.
Session I: June 2 – 6, 2019
Session II: June 16 – 20, 2019
