Last month, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) hosted its annual Leadership Luncheon to honor two leaders in the Latino community.

Rudy Beserra was honored with the Pioneer Award for his lifelong commitment to bridging the gap between the Latino community and corporate America.

As vice president of Latin American affairs at Coca-Cola, the world’s largest beverage company, Rudy has worked to strengthen the relationship between Latino organizations and Wall Street. Together with its huge bottling partner supply chain, Coca-Cola has more than 700,000 associates.

Susie Santana was honored with the Distinguished Alumna Award for her commitment to CHCI, its mission, and its participants. As the assistant vice president of federal affairs at AT&T, Susie exemplifies what it is to be a leader in her field, the citation said.

AT&T is a global leader in the technology, media and telecommunications industry, with over 200,000 people in the U.S. alone. To date, AT&T has committed $400 million to help raise high school graduation rates, and prepare students for college and careers.
