State Farm Insurance became the latest sponsor of the Center for Hispanic Leadership’s First Annual Summit to be held on September 18, 2010 in Los Angeles. The Summit, themed “Embracing Innovation through Diversity,” is designed to explore the role of Hispanic professionals and diversity at large, as well as its impact and influence on propelling innovation in the workplace.

“Our Summit has gained a steady and strong following from representatives of the nation’s leading Fortune 500 companies,” says Glenn Llopis, Founder and CEO of CHL. “I strongly believe that our message has touched a nerve across Corporate America. It is time for Hispanic professionals to harness their natural talents and use it to propel innovation in the workplace. ”

Ed Reyes, Vice President –Agency for State Farm Insurance Company’s California Zone reinforces why their sponsorship of CHL is critical. “We team up with partners in Hispanic communities to improve civic engagement, and develop Hispanic individuals into leaders and professionals in all our communities,” says Reyes. “With partners like the Center for Hispanic Leadership, we are helping to mobilize a generation of Hispanic professionals with the support needed to become Hispanic leaders.”

Reyes will also be participating in the session, “Making a Mark (Success) vs. Leaving a Legacy (Significance): The Importance of Historic/Cultural Promise in Defining the New Enlightened Form of Hispanic Leadership in the Workplace.”

This Summit will take place in the Junior Achievement Finance Park Mike Curb Center for Free Enterprise at 6250 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA, 90068. Proceeds will be donated to Junior Achievement, a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, through experiential, hands-on programs. Early bird registration begins at $395 per person by August 15, 2010.
