Conchita Romero is the Houston Information Technology Manager for Texas Instruments. In this role, she provides on-site coordination of all Houston site IT Services activities.
Her responsibilities include managing TI Houston’s Manufacturing IT organization and cost centers by providing systems application support, decision support and IT infrastructure support for the company’s HFAB, HBUMP and HTF organizations.
Between 2005 and 2008, Romero developed and implemented numerous IT improvement projects that enabled the company's Houston manufacturing organization to realize a project gain of nearly $13 million dollars. She also reduced IT manufacturing costs by 14% between 2004 and 2008, by implementing effective infrastructure and personnel changes that continue to drive cost savings today.
From 2005 to 2008, she improved IT project productivity by 45% by working to continuously improve her team’s individual skill sets and increase re-usage and standard methodologies/code.
