Juan Lafuente is the Program Manager of the Platform Systems Integration Support Program within the Network Integration and Engineering Division of Science Applications International Corporation. He manages a team of 20 that includes systems engineers, project managers, technical and on site leads, documentation and drafting personnel, and administrative support staff.

Lafuente is responsible for providing Program and Project Management support for a multitude of task orders from inception to completion. His team is prepared to meet, at a moment's notice, the needs of the Navy, Military Sealift Command (SEALOGPAC), and Coast Guard surface vessels. In 2007, he was one of only 50 employees selected for the Systems Engineering Certification and master's degree program sponsored jointly by SAIC and George Washington University.

Lafuente contributes to the NFL-sponsored football “camps for kids” at local San Diego high schools. He also assists in coaching a YMCA soccer team and coaches a co-ed adult recreational league soccer team.
