Brenda Isaza is a Structural and Payload Design Engineer at Boeing Spacecraft Services. She is the lead structural design engineer with the Ground Systems Development & Sustaining Group, for the Checkout, Assembly and Payload Processing Services program, at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
In this role, Isaza leads the design, development and integration for the Generic Propellant Transfer Unit (GPTU) access stand for spacecraft processing. Isaza is responsible for designing the GPTU stand thru a series of analysis assuring that it meets the design requirements from operations, maintenance, shipping & handling, cost, assembly & integration.
Among the honors Isaza has received are the Hispanic Engineers National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC) Most Promising Engineer in 2002, as well as the Interservice Industry Training Simulation Education Conference (IT/SEC) Innovation Team award for the development of the NASA Enterprise Visualization Analysis Tool (NEVA) analysis tool in 2003. Isaza is an active member of the Boeing Employee Hispanic Network, Society of Women Engineers, and is Boeing’s southeast regional leader for the Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers.
