Danny Cardenas is a Systems Engineer with the Northrop Grumman Corporation. He currently works on the New York City Wireless project (NYCWiN), a high-speed broadband wireless public safety network. The network gives the city’s emergency responders data access to support large file transfers, fingerprints, mug shots, city maps, and full-motion streaming video.
Cardenas joined the project in November of 2007, as an Application Systems Engineer working specifically on the design and integration of Class applications into the City of New York's infrastructure. Prior to Northrop Grumman Cardenas was Assistance Vice President in the Global Technology Services group within Lehman Brothers (now Barclays Capital).
Cardenas earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in wireless communication from Polytechnic University. He has served as president and finance vice president of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). In 2005, Cardenas won both the Recruiter Program Leader and the Diversity Contributor Plus awards at Lehman Brothers.
